Getting to The Yurt Retreat

The Yurt Retreat is located just off the A30 and A303. There are direct trains from London Waterloo, Salisbury and Exeter, to Crewkerne station, which is only a 5 minute taxi ride away.

It takes an hour and a half by road to Bristol and Bath and less than an hour to get to Exeter, where there is an international airport.

You MUST prebook a taxi if you are visiting us by train and need collecting from Crewkerne station as there is no taxi rank.

Driving instructions

From the A30 take the turning signposted Hinton St George. Drive slowly down the hill and the turning for Fords Croft Farm is the next right hand turn. Just before the bridge turn left to follow the track along the woodland to the Yurts.

From the A303 take the exit for Crewkerne and then join the A30 towards Chard and follow the above directions.

Please do not drive into the farmyard. This is a working farm so take care as you might meet a tractor on the drive.

If you are coming through Crewkerne, turn off the A30 onto Linddon Hill. Slowly down the hill and the turning into the farm is on the right hand side. To reach the Yurts follow the signs. (Please do not turn into the farmyard. This is a working farm and there will be tractors operating.
