Terms and Conditions for booking holidays at the Yurt Retreat can be found below. Please ensure you read them carefully.

Additional Covid cancellation policy September 2020:
With Covid-19 cases now on the rise again here is our updated, simple cancellation policy for your peace of mind:
- If we are open and can provide your holiday but you are unable to attend because of Covid-19 travel restrictions we will offer to move your dates or you can have a voucher for the value of your holiday to use over the next 12 months providing we have at least 2 weeks notice. If you are asked to self isolate less than 2 weeks before your stay we will reopen your dates and refund whatever proportion of your dates we can resell with no admin fees.
- If we are closed and cannot provide your stay we will offer to move or refund your stay, whichever you would prefer.
Cancellations & Insurance
Once a booking is confirmed, i.e. the deposit has been paid and the booking accepted, the hirer is responsible for the total cost of the holiday as shown on the invoice. We therefore strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance with your insurance broker.
Terms and Conditions
To secure your booking a non-refundable deposit of £100 per Yurt per holiday is required.
For bookings made less than 6 weeks in advance, the total amount is payable on booking.
In the event of cancellation
If the cancellation is more than four weeks before arrival and the balance has not been paid, the deposit will not be refunded. Alternatively the deposit can be off-set against a holiday to be taken at a different date later in the year, subject to availability and a £50 handling charge.
If the cancellation is more than four weeks before arrival and the balance has been paid then the total cost of the holiday will be refunded, less the deposit and a handling charge of £50, ONLY if the booking is able to be re-let. If the booking cannot be re-let the cost will be refunded less the deposit and a £75 handling charge Alternatively the cost of the holiday can be off-set against a holiday to be taken at a different date, subject to availability and a handling charge of £50.00, later in the year.
If the cancellation is less than four weeks before arrival and the balance has not been paid the whole of the deposit is non-refundable, nor can it be offset against another date later in the year, except in exceptional circumstances and by arrangement with the owners.
If the cancellation is less than four weeks before arrival and the balance has been paid then the cost will not be refunded unless the booking can be re-let and then 50% will be refunded, nor can it be offset against another date later in the year, nor can it be rolled over to the following year, except in exceptional circumstances and by arrangement with the owners.
Whilst every effort will be made to avoid them, booking errors made by The Yurt Retreat will not in any circumstances be compensated for unless there is less than 6 weeks until the booking dates commence. If there is less than 4 weeks until the booking date commences the Shepherds Hut Retreat’s liability will be limited to the return in full of any monies paid.
Whilst we will always endeavour to allocate specifically requested Yurt positions, we are unable to guarantee them.
Please remember you are staying in a woodland camping environment with live animals and other hazards. Some of the camp equipment can be dangerous if misused. The proprietor accepts no liability for any accident, injury, loss or damage sustained by any resident, their family, visitors, animals, vehicle or personal effects however caused.
Number of Guests per Property
The maximum number of guests permitted in each property must not exceed the number stated on the booking form. The proprietor reserves the right to decline accommodation and to order any unauthorised person off the premises.
Any damage or breakages which may occur must be paid for. Small accidental damages or breakages of a minor nature will not normally be charged but you are required to report all breakage and damage to the owners at the time.
Any complaints must be made known to the proprietor immediately. No complaints will be entertained at the end of the hiring period or after the hirer has departed. The Yurt Retreat is relieved from liability should the accommodation or other facilities be unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.
No pets are allowed on site due to the site being located on a working farm.
Day visitors are welcome, although the facilities are for the sole use of the residents.
Guests bringing their own bicycles should ensure they are locked please bring locks with you. The proprietor cannot be held responsible for damage or theft to bicycles left on the property. Bicycles are NOT permitted within the properties.
Arrival and Departure
Bookings are from 3pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. Timing on winter bookings and short breaks is flexible subject to owners approval.
Guests are asked to leave their accommodation clean and tidy when vacating. Guests are asked to give consideration to other residents and not to cause nuisance or annoyance. The owner reserves the right to gain access with prior notice for the purpose of maintenance and inspection if it is necessary.
ALL PROPERTIES AT THE PARK ARE NON SMOKING
I have read the booking conditions and agree on behalf of all members of my party to abide by those conditions. I understand the balance must be paid at least 28 days before the holiday is due to start. I am over 18 years of age.
